Stafford County's five high schools range in size from approximately 1,900 to 2,050 students and offer programs of study in grades nine through twelve. Students receive instruction in all core academic subjects, including English, math, science, social studies, and five foreign languages. In addition, students may choose electives in several areas such as fine arts, music, drama, health and physical education, and career and technical programs. Students may select from many advanced placement or dual enrollment college classes with Germanna Community College.
Students graduating may choose either a twenty-two credit standard diploma or a twenty-four credit advanced studies diploma. Students must earn verified credit by passing Standards of Learning tests in high schools and successfully completing requirements of the course. Opportunities exist in all high schools for students to actively participate in athletics, clubs, service organizations, and leadership activities. Adult education classes, serving approximately 600 students each year, are offered at the high schools, Turning Point and at other locations in the community. Student Dress Code |
